Hello all you Beauties !

If you are not an adept in beauty mists, this is an article for you. The beauty mists have an important role in our beauty routine. The right mist can do wonders for your beauty routine. It can help lock in your moisturizer, protect you skin from pollutions, give you skin a vitamin and / or hydrate boost...the options are endless. And the beauty of a beauty mists is that you can find one for every skin type, they are easy to use and you can take them everywhere with you. Me for example I never go on a plane or to the beach without one. And I guarantee that you will feel & see the difference on you skin once you start using one.

There are basically 2 types of beauty mists

1 ) the ones that contain thermal or mineral water that help balance your skins ph levels & protect your skin ( I call those the old school mists )

2 ) the moisturizing / hydrating mists that contain water AND additional hydrating ingredients like essential oils, glycerine, botanical extracts or hyaluronic acids that help lock in the moisture.

My 5 favourites Beauty Mists of the Moment

1) Caudalie Beauty Elixir : I think this one is the most know & used in my field .Every makeup artist has one is their bag. It contains essential oils & plant extracts. It tightens pores, sets makeup & provides an instant shot of radiance. It’s basically the ultimate Spa in a bottle.

Good for: dullness, pores & dryness.

2) AmorePacific : I discovered this one in L.A last year, and I just love everything about it. It contains bamboo sap & green tea extracts which helps protect against heat & reduces redness. I use it a lot at festivals, where my clients can have drier skin caused by jet-lag. And it’s good to use as they often have call shoot out in the sun.

Good for: nourished & radiance.

3) Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Perfecting Water Moisture Mist. I really like to use this one like a pre-primer. I feel like it really helps look in serums & moisturizers, for skin that needs the maximum of hydration.

Good for: a hydrating facial mist.

4) Elisabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist. Yes, everyone that know me &/or that follows me on social media knows that I never leave home without a tube of the famous Eight Hour Cream!! Like NEVER. So of course I had to try this mist when it came out. And yes I REALLY like it!! It’s refreshing & gives an instant boost of hydration to the skin. It’s spiced with superfood acai berries & energizing caffeine. I really recommend using this one in the morning on your clean face, after a shower, at the beach or the pool… in your ‘off’ time basically…that’s what I do!!

Good for: a hydration boost.

5) Evian Natural Mineral Water. Back to the basics. A good mineral water is the Natures Mist. It hydrates, tones & refreshes the skin with its neutral ph. Great to use before your moisturizer or to set you makeup.

Good for: a light hydrations.

Now after getting my little input on beauty mists, I want to point out a very important detail: YOU have to know what you are looking for in a mist before you go buy one! But remember, you can have more than one in your arsenal, because we all know that our skin can have different needs at different times! So go explore and give me your feed backs!
