Hello Beauties!

To start off our Christmas Makeup Season, I thought that starting with a simple classic would be a good idea. I’m talking about Red Matt lips.

Red lips have been going strong for centuries. And I always feel like the Matt Red lips are just perfect for the holiday season. Besides that amazing red color, the matt aspect gives a rich & warm touch to them that's just perfect for the this season.

And this Christmas seasons I’ve been using Nars “Don’t Stop"

For me this color is very vibrant for a matt color, so very easy to apply and it just goes well with a lot of women.

I decided to show you two different looks done with this lipstick.

The first one is pretty soft & lumious, which could be perfect for the holiday lunches or even the work place. The second one is more deep & a bit darker. Which I think is perfect for the night time parties & soirées!

The key to getting these two different looks out of the same lip color is the color of your lip pencil! Yes that's right, the lip pencil! Just keep reading, you'll see how simple it is.

For the first one I used Mac’s Brick lip pencil ( https://www.maccosmetics.fr/product/13852/340/produits/maquillage/levres/crayon-a-levres/crayon-a-levres#/shade/Brick ) for the contour, then I filled in the lips with the lipstick. It gives it a very soft form and look.

For the second, more intense look, I used the Mac’s Currant lip pencil ( https://www.maccosmetics.fr/product/13852/340/produits/maquillage/levres/crayon-a-levres/crayon-a-levres# ), for the contour and once the lips were filled in, I re-did the contour with the pencil & worked my way in a little bit to get that depth and a darker aspect.

For me to really put the spotlight on to your lips, your skin needs to be beautiful but simple. Your eyes need to be soft but luminous at the same time. And as it’s the Christmas season I like to use soft jewel tons, like gold and bronze, which really work well to make the red pop even more.

These are just two looks and the options are almost endless. So go have fun & bring your x-mas vixen out to play!
