Fresh Spring Makeup Look

Hello Beauties! In case you missed my announcement, I am thrilled to be partnered with the gorgeous French, vegan & cruelty-free makeup brand, Studio78 Paris. Their products are simply amazing & so easy to use.

Like all makeup artist, I like to play around & create looks with all kinds of different products & mix different brands together in my makeup bag. But for this fresh spring look, I wanted to only use Studio78!

Before I take you through each step for this makeup look, its important that we go through the skin preparation. It is, frankly, the most important step in any makeup routine. You cannot skip this. Skin prep & makeup work together as a team. Never forget that!

So lets break it down:

Skin Preparation:

Studio78 does not have a skincare line, so I started Alexandria off using the brand Embryolisse. Embryolisse is another French brand, that is highly know both by professionals & individuals. It is available globally and is pretty consistent with its results. So for me that makes it an obvious pairing with this Studio 78 look!

Step one: I remove any residue that the skin might have, using Embryolisse Micellar lotion . This gives the skin a clean and neutral base to work with.

Step two: not everyone likes or uses serums before their makeup but I love them. Embryolisse Hydra-Serum is a good one, because it helps revitalize & recharger the skin with a water base.

Step three: As the serum is already doing a lot of the heavy lifting, I use a small amount of Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré which I mix in the balms of my hands & then massage it into the skin. It gives the skin a beautiful glow.

Step Four: I apply a good amount off Embryolisse lip balm , which will give it time do its job, while I’m working on my makeup look.

Now on to our makeup look

Step One: I apply a thin layer of the foundation “Terrasse ensoleillée nr 1 “ using a foundation brush & then I work the concealer” A l’aube” under the eyes & on the areas that need a little bit more coverage, using my fingertips.

Step two: Powder. I apply “Doucer de coton nr 1 “ using a big powder brush, to mattify & to keep the “skin” as natural as possible.

Step three: Brows. One of the most important step to a good eyebrow is brushing them really well, one to get of all the surplus they might have (cream, foundation, powder) & two, to see their form. Once that is done, I fill out the eyebrows, where it is need, with the colour nr 2 from Studio78 new beautiful eyebrow palette “Stay Wild” .

Step Four: Eyes. I want the look to be fresh & simple, so for this look I am only using two colours. The shade “we breath nr 7” which I apply on the upper eyelid, on the inner upper corner eyelid & following the lower eyelid. I then soften that shade out with the second shade “we walk nr 3”. Working in the colours with soft circler movements, going upwards & making them fade out.

Step Five: Mascara. I prep the lashes with a lash curler & then I apply the “on papillonne ” mascara on the upper lashes, using a “heavy hand” on the outer lashes, leaving the lower lashes to the last minute by brushing the remaining produits on the wand on them. That way the lower lashes stay soft & natural.

Step six: Blush. Keeping with the mood of a fresh spring look, I apply the terre de soleil “rose des sables nr 3 “ focusing on the apple of the cheeks. Simple & very efficient.

Step seven: Highlighter. Studio78 have a new highlighter palette, “Rise & Shine” which is just sublime, I blend colour nr 2 of that palette on the higher cheekbones, finishing it of in round movements over the outer lines of my blush. Finishing my blush with a beautiful glow.

Step eight: Lips. To finish of this spring look, I use one of my favourite lipstick colours from Studio78 "on se marie nr 3” . The lipstick is quite compact in its texture, so mixed with the lip balm already in place, I get a more “liquid” & glossy look, which is what I need to finish of this spring freshness.

Et voila.

This is just one look with theses specific colours. You can do this of course with any brand & different colours. Just remember, to keep it fresh & simple.
