Hello beautifuls! As promised, here is the first weekly review of many products that we will be testing this year. One beauty product tested for one week by two different experts!

Everything we try and test will be at your fingertips and available to find easily. Beautiful is universal and you should have access and knowledge to the best of the best!

Our inaugural product is a mask that appeals to make up artists and skin care experts alike!

Product : Sanoflore Masque de nuit merveilleux

They say : A aromatic regenerating sleeping mask made with an infusion of herbs ( sweet orange, marjoram, chamomile, neroli )and a duo of essentials oils ( organic Melissa & pelargonium, with it’s specific perfume that improves sleep) to regenerate, firm & restore skin radiance.

2 ways to use it:

· Mask: thickly for 10 min. Remove excess with a soaked cotton in floral water. Repeat at least 2 a week.

· Night cream: apply in a thin layer every night, replacing your night cream.

I say: The first thing that drew me to this mask was the essentials oils. With its amazing smell I’m already at the spa and relaxed! When I first bought this mask I only used it when I was traveling for work and I would use it at night to relax and look fresher the next day. So for this week I decided to use it only as a night cream. I put a very light layer evenly on my face, which immediately penetrated and I was left with a feeling that the skin was a little “dry” and matte. But that faded away in the next 10 min and it felt soft but not greasy. The next day it felt moisturized with a matte sheen.

After a week, I feel like my skin is well moisturized, more balanced, and a bit firmer. My skin feels softer and it looks good. I don’t have a glow and I don’t feel like the essentials oils made me sleep better but overall I would really recommend this mask because you really feel the difference in the softness in your skin and its balance. And let’s not forget the amazing spa smell!

Erika says: This mask perfect made for anyone who needs a little more hydration in their life. It is an easy to apply, easy to see results, and has just the right amount of scent to not be overwhelming. I love this mask for this exact reason – it is versatile. In terms of overnight hydration masks, this is a good one. In terms of travel masks, this is an AMAZING mask. The tube itself is small but still enough for several uses (meaning it can be TSA friendly). It can be used during a flight for a quick burst of moisture, or once once you arrive at a destination to help add in hydration overnight AND it can also double as your night time moisturizer so that is once less product you need to travel with.

The beneficial essential oils are the stars here – one of the first ingredients is Melissa oil. This healing, and mainly underused oil, is an anti-inflammatory oil. So, in addition to the nurturing ingredients for hydration, this mask helps to calm redness through botanicals and essential oils like this. Again, this mask is versatile!

I used the mask as a night cream for one week and found it to be a bit too much for everyday night cream. I loved the smell and the texture, but I use a lot of serums and other products at night and did not like how this sits on top of the other products. It does not “blend” in with them well as it has a heavy balm feeling. This is that dry matte feeling that Thora referenced in her review. Every skin is unique and while many skins rely on that layering technique to help with intense dryness, mine was not in need of the additional boost. If you were, then I am sure this would be a welcomed night cream.

The next week, I used it as an overnight mask three times during the week. I followed the suggestion and applied it with a soaked cotton in some rose water. It was fantastic, and I saw the addition of the water helping to thin the emollient portion of the mask. I simply washed my face and applied a thin layer of the mask before I went to bed. I absolutely loved the results. It felt great and looked plump and hydrated.

Overall note: SOLID PURCHASE

Both skin and make up expert agree – this mask is a solid purchase. I say; buy it for the spa like feel of a great mask that smells great and adds moisture. Erika says ; purchase it as an essential travel product and a welcomed product when your skin is rough and dry. It is a great addition Ito any skin care regime!

If you have or will try this mask, I would love to get your feedback on it. Share it girls !!
