The other day I was on a shoot with another makeup artist, and per usual we checked out each other products. There is nothing as much fun than checking out a colleague stash, see what they are using & how they are using it. More often than not, we have the same stuff, but there is always some products that you haven’t tried or that you might not know about, may they be old or new. And I LOVE THAT. Discover something new or “old” is just so much fun. And going back to the other day, I thought instead of always talking about the new products coming out or my favourite products, why not do a review about the products that I check out each month, no matter the brand or when they came out.

So here is my list of products that I tested this last month

· Caudalie Oil Makeup remover

Some 18 years ago I tried for the first time Shu Uemura’s cleansing oils & there was no going back for me. Since they stop selling them in Europe some years ago, I’m constantly on the lookout for my next love affair in cleaning oils. Stumble upon this one not so long ago & of course had to check it out. This cleansing oil is mainly made from oils ( sweet almond, castor, grape seeds & sunflowers oils) I like its texture , very rich & dense, & it transforms into a sort of milk with contact with water. Its quite smooth & easy to use, it does take your makeup off very easily and leaves your skin feeling clean & balanced. I’m not a big fan of its almond perfume( for me its a little bit overwhelming) but the results are definitely there. So if you are on the lookout for a good cleansing oil give this one a try!

· Eucerin Aquaphor Skin Repair Balm Expert

I have a lot of different balms in my makeup stash. In my kit, I try to have no more than 5 different once (each on has it different job, though they all hydrate on different levels). A college of mine told me about this balm and said that I had to tried it, that it was the BOMB. So of course, I did. It’s mainly made out of panthenol (which soothes & moisturizes, it helps the skin to attract water and hold onto it) & glycerine (provides smoothness & lubrication). Its texture is smooth, very silicon like and its odourless. Cannot say that I find it very glamorous. It feels a lot like Vaseline but with more glycerine. I have only used it on dry and damage lips and it worked like a charm. But sadly, this product did not “charm” me. I just found it too “artificial”, like I was putting on fake Vaseline. The product definitely work but this one is a no for me.

· Givenchy Knol Couture

I’m always on the looking out for makeup products that are easy to use & that stay on, without drying up the skin or flaking in the middle of the day. And I find that it is really hard to find a black kohl pencil that is intense & that stays put. Well, I finally hit the jackpot! Givenchy Knol Couture is all that. Its texture is rich, smooth (oh so smooth), the colours are intense (they come out in a lot of different colours) and it does NOT smudge or budge ones it dries. You can do a beautiful eyeliner with it or go for a more smokey, sultry look. It really stays put. And the best part, even though its waterproof, it comes of easy and smooth with a little bit of micellar water!! Go get one now!!!

· Sanoflore Aciana Botanica Bio cleansing micellar water

Like so many mua’s, the cleansing micellar water I use the most, is Bioderma eau micellaire Créaline 20. I can use it on any skin types & it wipes off almost any kind of beauty produits. Sanoflore has quickly become one of my favorite French skin brands. What drew me to try this micellar water at first was the fact that it promises to rid the skin of pollution particles & living in a big city, I need that.

This water is rich in organic cornflowers (which sooths & decongests), officinalis Melissa (which has antioxidant properties) as well as in floral waters: rose, blueberry and lemon balm mix, which cleanses and gently releases the skin of pollution particles.

What’s more, it contains no paraben, silicon, or mineral oils, yay!!

This one is a new stable in my beauty stash! Highly recommended.

· Embryolisse Radiant Complexion Compact Powder

This is basically a mineral, universal coloured compacted powder. I’m always a bit septic when it comes to compact powders. I’ve tried, way too many, that end up being a disappointment because the results are either too heavy, too powdered, or too orange coloured. This powder surprised me. Its texture is exceptionally light & at the same time very easy to build up for more coverage. It mostly contains talc which captures sebum, loofah oil which promotes cell regeneration & prevents dehydration & vitamin E .What's more it has soft-focus pigments that reflect light & help blur wrinkles & fine lines.

I tried it over a foundation as well as directly on the skin, always focusing mainly on the t-zone & the result is a pretty, healthy glow. They say that it is a universal shade & in my opinion it can be used for fair to medium skin tones, I wouldn’t use it on dark skin . Overall this one is a keeper.

So here is my list of somelk of products that I tested this last monthhto products that you want to try or discover. I would really love to get a feedback from you guys & even some tips on products that you love & like ,in hopes I’ll discover some news treasures as well! Till
